Jac Parson

Originally from Bacup in Lancashire, Jac has been an ordained Baptist Minister since 2010, and before that a swimming teacher, a First Aid trainer and assessor, a barmaid, a volunteer at a night-stop for homeless teenagers, and a youth worker.

Her priority in ministry is to equip and encourage the local church to reach out to those around them in a variety of ways, whilst ensuring the church is a welcoming and caring place to belong, as they worship God together. She also believes that an effective church is a praying one, and that finding ways in which the church can grow in its prayer life is incredibly important.

She is married to Richard, and they have two small daughters: Hannah and Henrietta.

Rita Avery

Rita is a lifetime resident of Newhaven and has been a member of our church for nearly all her adult life. She led classes in our Sunday School for many years and was Church Secretary for more than ten years. The secretarial role is now shared between the deacons.

Chris Roberts

Chris grew up in Hertfordshire and moved to Newhaven with his wife Maureen 40 years ago. Chris has three daughters and four grandchildren and has been the treasurer of the church for 30 years.

David Mulholland

David was born in Reading but raised and worked in London, retiring to Seaford almost twenty years ago.  He is married to Audrey and they have four children and six grandchildren.  David has a very strong interest in foreign mission.

Kate Carver

Kate has been attending our church since she was five years old. She is married to Rick and has three grown-up children. As well as singing in our worship group, masterminding most of the technology we use and being head chef for church lunches, she finds time to work as a teacher at a primary school in Eastbourne.
